    just got thru watching qualifying, and it sure was a relief to hear commentators commentating instead of cutting up all the time. now i can look forward to watching races on sunday again. sweet.

    Put down the crack pipe

    NBC/TNT coverage sucks. Whats gotten into the water of my hometown of Midlland. Fox is the Daddy of racing and always will be.

    good to see another fellow midlander, thats 3 now and roughly half the population on tbr.

    but on the fox note. i cannot stand dw and jeff hammonds. gimme some good ole benny parsons and alan bestwick anytime. who cares how jeff hammonds does ridin a bull. i tune it to watch racing, and thats what i get with nbc/tnt. it is enjoyable again. no more circus show for this year.

    I also hate the NBC coverage of Nascar. Fox does a much better job of covering everything at the track. NBC gets to repeative with it's coverage.

    I don't care for NBC or FOX.......both have degraded my ability to enjoy watching a race.


    HOWEVER.......Benny is cool and Darrell W can't "boogity, boogity, boogity" his way off of TV fast enough.

    Yeah that bit with Dave Burns in Wally's race car was all serious and looked nothing like anything Fox would do, right?!

    well i guess i missed that part. but at least it involved a race car, and not riding bulls, or goin fishin or something.

    like uncc said, i don't really care for either FOX or NBC. i do like NBC better, but i am still hoping for the day when ESPN can outbid those guys. they set the bar for NASCAR coverage, and noone has come close yet. dr jerry puntch is the best race commentator out there.

    Someone needs to shoot Buddy Baker. I like FOX better, but I'd also like someone to shoot D. Waltrip. Can't stand either one of those guys....

    Nobody has covered NASCAR like the good old days of "Wide World of Sports". Man, those 2 week tape delays were great and no one ever gives Chris Econmacki the credit he deserves. The man rocked. He is the "Godfather" of all racing reporters. Bestwick can't carry his jock.
