There are a lot of different ways to qualify online. Sometimes there is a freeroll by the site, but you may have to have player points from the site to win a chance to play in this tourney and then of course the winner is the one who gets to play in the WSOP 2005.

Then some times they have a $100 buy-in tourney with a seat awarded for every 100 players in the tourney, with of course the highest winners going.

There are tons of other different formats, requiring little to no money, to as much as a single table shootout of $1000-$1125.

I play on Fulltilt and they had a satilite program to get into the Foxwoods tourney they should the other night on the travel channel. Basically you play in a cheap tournament, come in the top couple spots and get a password to be invited into another more expensive tourney. The people got the top 2 spots in that were invited into one of 3 tournaments. Each person who won those 3 tournaments got a free trip and entry up there to play in the $10,000 entry tournament. I think 2 people from the final table this year were from satelites.

I play the small 9 & 18 man tournaments on a regular basis. Each night at 11pm they have a pot limit tourney that usually has a 100 players or so. I have entered that a few times with 12th place being my best so far.

I used to play on truepoker, I just like the opportunity to play against some of the pros on fulltilt. There is at least one or two of them on there every night.
