wow....the bcs may be the worst system possible. How do you rank a team ahead of another that won a head to head matchup in a neutral site. Just bc OU had a good past 4 weeks its about a season not just 4 weeks. Texas was consistently great throughtout the season and I feel bad for the Texas players and fans who were screwed out of a Big 12 championship...but to all you OU fans out there im sure your garbage team will choke just like they do every year in big games and bob stoops may be the worst pressur coach in bowl games in the country...you lose to WVU and Boise St. obvioulsy they no longer deserve the right play in big time games especially when you screwing a more deserving team who has won there last 4 bowl games 2 of which were rose bowls and one was a national championship...Its time for a new system that makes sense.

    GO LONGHORNS!!!

    Go Mizzou

As a loyal Texas Longhorn fan I am now starting a one week special for membership in the newly formed University of Texas Missouri Tigers Fan Club.

I pray Chase can dig deep and find a Heisman performance for just one game.

    yeah buddy

I mean how are the players supposed to feeel knowing they beat both teams in the big 12 championship game...what a let down...computers cant watch football games and they obviously dont look at head to head matchups

We should have a playoff, 16 teams...and I've said that since the mid-1970's...

There is no good way to choose between the 3 teams involved since there was a round-robin of defeats...Remember this is not just between OU and Texas, Texas Tech is involved in this as well. I don't think who was hottest was the deciding factor...if I was voting, I'd look at non-conference strength-of-schedule, where OU has an advantage...and Missouri did UT no favors either by losing and taking a little luster off the Horns victory over them earlier this season...

D1 Tournament using BCS for seeds...higher seed hosts first 2 rounds
semis and final at bowl sites...

    Upper half.....
    1) Alabama
    16) Georgia

    8) Penn St.
    9) Boise St.

    5) USC
    12) Ball St.

    4) Florida
    13) Cincinnati

    Lower half.....
    2) Oklahoma
    15) Georgia Tech

    7) Texas Tech
    10) Ohio St.

    6) Utah
    11) TCU

    3) Texas
    14) Oklahoma St.

These could be adjusted like they do the NCAA basketball seedings to avoid
teams from the same conference playing in the 1st round...it makes the regular season still important (want higher seed for a home playoff game or two like other NCAA division playoffs) and strength-of-schedule component is still intact with computer rankings, so great matchup can still happen and teams aren't penalized for it with the current lose-and-drop-but-losing-early-is-better mentality prevalent among the intellectually-challenged sportswriters like Boob Ryan and Mike Stupica.

With the BCS, Texas is just the first team to get raped. Several more will follow and the coaches will continue to bite their lips because they are ordered to by college presidents. Mack Brown might break down this week and tell them to go to hell but don't count on it.

Finally a Sooner fan with some common sense...even though we have different views on who should have rep the big 12 south...I agree there should be a playoff but i also believe Texas Tech although they did beat us should have been completely ruled out after there back to back pathetic performances...a blowout to OU and a pathetic win over Baylor...but I respect your idea of a playoff
