Christopher Terry, a lineman for the Carolina Panthers, has been arrested for allegedly assaulting his wife Wednesday.
Terry, who was charged with assault on a female, appeared in court via video monitor this morning. He was jailed in the Mecklenburg County Jail. Bond was set at $2,500, court officials said.

Mr. Richardson has to be pulling his hair out. Damn! Terry's one of the nicest personalities I've ever met in a player. I'm completely stunned by this.

Not to be cold, or unjust, but these don't seem serious enough for jail time or a suspension.

    I just hope he plays.

anywhere I lay my head I'm gonna call my home
    we ahve nothing behind him.

I just don't see it. He always seemed to be the other side of the coin...too reserved, too calm, not emotional enough.

"She told authorities that Terry head-butted her causing a lump to form in the middle of her head. "
They could have just been gettin jiggy....

"She also said he held her head down into a pillow and tried to smother her while their two children watched."

I'm ok with the first part, that too could have been just being kinky... I have no tolerance for involving the kids though...

"In a written statement, she also accused him of pushing him against the wall during an argument and then pushing open a door while holding a handgun. "

Observer note to self "accused him of pushing him" So now he can't push himself? :D As far as the gun, maybe he had to open the door to put the gun away after cleaning it... The main problem here is the deal with the kids.

Get the guy evaluated immediately. If he has emotional problems (sounds likely to me) he needs to be receiving professional help, not playing football. They should definitely make sure he is not juiced as well.
Steroids can turn a “reserved, calm” guy into an animal who could easily end up killing someone for simply nagging at him about the damn toilet seat or something. I will be very interested to see how Fox and co handle this . . . I think it’s important he sets a clear parameter and this could be a golden opportunity to do so.

You want to pull for some guy every Sunday who beats on the mother of a couple of children . . . while they are watching?!
I'd rather watch some decent guy give up a sack every quarter than pretend this didn't happen and plug this sick fuck right back into our line. Let's keep things in perspective here.
