he had asked to move back to S this camp after being run over for 1st string by the young guys. Don't know if they did move him. But he did play QB this offseason.

In retrospect, looking at what Wake has done in the last couple years, he was stupid to leave.

he wasn't getting playing time at Wake either was he? Isn't that why he left in the first place?

Lets face it - he ain't his brother.

I can't remember. I thought it was because he thought he'd be better off at UT. Jim Caldwell was fired soon after he left, so maybe he saw it coming. Somehow.

Sophomore starter who tore his knee up three games in. Wasn't playing hot at the time.

In retrospect, no. Not what his brother is.

CJ was the starter during spring ball and into the start of summer. He's better than Rick Clausen, who just sucks, but not able to fend of the youngsters. Got into it with Burnett during the Summer after Burnett said some words about his lil bro.

When Schaeffner and Ainge looked good in camp, they moved CJ to Safety, and when that didn't work, they moved him to Tight End. He got in the game, in the victory kneel down only.

Watched the game and enjoyed pummeling a decent team. Wasnt UNLV a bowl team last year? I guess I'm just saying that it was a little better and more telling than the scrimmages a lot of other teams played this weekend.

The Good: the offense & special teams. Recommitment to the running game is :xyzthumbs Having the backs to do it if Houston comes back 100% Punting looks like the weapon its been for us for a while. Don't play field position with us, 'cause you'll lose.

The bad: Frosh QBs way too reliant on the sideline. Checks wont work on the road (ok, its been said already), and the defense.... ugh. We're gonna give up so many big plays this season. If Florida runs misdirection stuff, we're gonna get raped. Not enough experience out there at all. Simon & Burnett are good, and will shut down a straight ahead run play, but if they get blocked, it's big yards for the opposition. The DBs arent what we had last year and it shows. The DL looked ok, against a suspect OL.

That little guy UNLV had was fun to watch. Can he scoot or what? Reminded me of Eric Metcalf.

Very, very possible. They're both too talented to keep around.

Speaking of that, how's that kid doing that we let go in favor of Casey Claussen? Didn't he go to Ga. Tech? If he sat out a year, this would be his senior season, right?
