Ragone won't last till round 2 and Palmer isn't worth a second IMO. There should be - at least with current projections - a quality WR at the top of round 2. If a QB is there in round 1 we should look to solidify that position IMO. Then we can move up a bit in round 2 and get that a WR like A. Johnson, Gage, Lloyd or Evans.

Your right though, ATP it very difficult to say what would be best for the Panthers. Hell, whose to say we don't use the FA money on a Jake Plummer, Rob Johnson or Doug Peterson?

Well, I meant Ragone in round 1 and reciever in 2, Palmer in 2 (and yeah, he's worth it. He's playing as well as anyone right now.) and reciever in 1.

I might take Ragone over any WR except Charles Rodgers. Getting Rodgers and Palemr 1 and 2 would be primo, IMO.

As for those round 2 WR, after the top 4 guys, there's not a whole lot I really like, personally. Evans has redshited. Andre Johnson is first round IMO.

The Ego is going to take a couple of years. He's up there in ability, but he doesn't read defenses well yet. He's only played the position for two years.

With that said, I still like him more than Roy Williams.

me too. The guy is good No doubt about it. His health kinda concerns me and we sure as hell don't need another whirl pool player.

Personally, if I thought Ragone would be round two there's no contest. But I still think that going with a first round receiver and then going with round two guys like Kyle Boller (trust me, he's almost round two already) or Clausen or, if they really were into him, the forsaken Grossman. I don't think that Ragone is just heads above these guys. Demand will separate them.

My problem with Williams is that he tends to play soft yet. Not terribly soft, but you can see it on some plays where he's just tentative. Anybody remember him getting caught by that DT on the reverse, at the sideline? He was turning upfield and was going in between two people. He didn't turn it on. He stepped lightly. He got caught.

He's still a top 15 guy IMO. And Washington is above him.
5 guys at receiver will likely go first round...the fifth is pretty much waiting to be defined by a good bowl game and postseason workouts.

Please not Grossman! How many more UF qb's do NFL scouts need to see fail in the NFL?

Grossman is sub round 3 IMO. Mel Kiper ranking him as the #2 player on his board earlier this year tells me all I need to know bout Kiper. Grossman is overated and his size will hurt him in the pros. Reminds me a lot of Joe Germaine although he has a better arm. Kliff Kingsbury is a real sleeper IMO and to get him a little later - along with a bigtime WR (Rogers, Washington or Johnson) would be great.
