Sources close to the basketball office confirm Reggie Love is back on the Duke roster after an NFL tryout didn't pan oLove, who last played for the Blue Devils during the National Title run of 2001, returns to Durham as an immediate help in the post.

Despite being just 6-foot-4, he proved invaluable in the 2001 ACC Championship game against North Carolina's Brenden Haywood. In that game, won by Duke 79-53, Love collected eight rebounds in just 16 minutes of action. He would also prove valuable against Missouri in the second round of that year's tournament.

After signing a free agent contract with the Green Bay Packers, Love was cut from teh final roster, allowing him to return to Duke to finish up a second major.

Sources close to the situation indicate the idea had been bantered about after the Blue Devils entered the fall with just eight rotation quality players.

"Anytime you can add an athlete who has some experience, you do it," sources told TDD. "It was a no brainer."

Love will reportedly wear #30.

 

Hard to believe the ol nutsack nuzzler could have any eligibility left.
