TBR Pick'em 2019 - Week Four

I think it was Murray screwing things up. Half of his sacks were self-inflicted from doing a bad Russell Wilson impression, and the first pick was a punt to Jackson.


That's the most inflated sack total you'll ever see.

 

These are my weekly grades for the defense:


Rams game: C

Bucs game: B+

Cards game: D

 

I’ve just done a lot of film on the offense so far. I’m trying to look at the defensive tape today. I’m also spending a lot of time looking at what Houston does, and it’s impressive on defense. They’ve really gotten much better since week one.

Something about the defensive game felt inconsistent. Especially in the first half. I think the speed package they used upfront really helped, and the gap integrity improved quite a bit. It was sloppy as shit early on.

 

Haynes needs to develop an inside move. Multiple times he ran himself right out of the play and Murray took off for a big run.

 

Good to see Mahershala Ali is ready to roll.

 

I'm beyond excited about Kyle Allen, though. I think the Panthers may have fallen ass backwards into something special.

 

These things are crapshoot, so there’s no need to do a victory lap. But I just wanted to remind everybody we did our research on him. Even I was surprised by Sunday. But I knew he could do good things. Week 17 mattered.

 

He's not a great arm, but his pocket presence is franchise QB level, and Norv is going a great job of breaking him in with RPO's and coverage identifying formations. I'm very excited. I think he's a talented player who's finally found a system that suits him.
