I don't agree with that at all. Outside of Tate and Nicks, there wasn't a lot of talent at all when Butch Davis took over. He sure didn't start all of those true freshmen in 07 just for the hell of it. He had no choice.

You 've got to hand it to TOB as far as what he did at Boston College. It took him only 3 years to produce a winner there. He was 4-7 his first two years (97 & 98) & 8-4 his 3rd year. Boston college hasn't had a losing season since. 11 straight winning seasons. I'm sure State was hoping he could produce the same results in Raleigh.

I suppose there is. If it's just that he wanted out to get more money and for a change of scenery I don't see whats so funny.

We'll let's see, just on defense that team had Kentwan Balmer who was drafted by the 49rs, Aleric Mullins who is still starting, and Trimaine Goddard who had missed 2006 with an injury and was a pretty good player. Davis had some players on defense work with. On offense he did not have a lot which he still true today in some respects.

That's not the part that I was amused at.

TOB had some players to work with too. Hell, he has one of the two best QB's in the ACC right now (Christian Ponder being the other), and he still can't win.
