There is no reason to be in denial.

The temperature of his seat will warm up every year his teams under-perform. There is a reasonable list of reasons (no, not excuses) that have kept that from happening this year as well as last year. He'll get five years. So you may as well stop.

Do you really believe Fowler would pull the trigger on O'Brien so soon. You're being naive if you do.

Heels should win off of defensive scores. But, this is the A She She so who knows what the heck will actually happen.

No, I've never thought that he would be fired this season. But, if State doesn't have a winning season next year & show improvement, then I believe next year will be his last. For whatever reason this year, State couldn't improve on it's defense. It was bad, & got worse. O'Brien couldn't course-correct during the season, like Davis did at UNC with it's offense.

State's defense is deplorable. Injuries and inexperience in the backfield are big contributers. However, it should be getting better, but it gets worse by the week. O'Brien's involvement should come after the season.

O'Brien has a tough schedule to improve against next year:

Cincinnati, Central Florida, ECU, & Western Carolina (non-conference)
BC, UNC, Ga.Tech, Clemson, Va. Tech, Florida State, Wake, & Maryland (ACC)

can't blame it on injuries, if TOB were as solid as his resume, he should be 2 and 3 deep at every position like he's been in the past

UNC's putrid offense vs. States putrid defense, not going to be a game people tune into outside of North Carolina.
