Not to be too anal about this, but you're confusing the apple with the grapefruit.

Burelein got us 8 and 8. That was all he had. I think he was a great guy, just not a great qb.

Hardly any Panthers fans even realize that Beuerlein had one of the 10 greatest statistical seasons of all-time in 1999, despite being sacked far more than any other QB in the league that year. Give that '99 team any defense from the Fox era and it might have won a Super Bowl. It's certainly the best offense we ever had, and I don't remember that many times where Beuerlein threw a critical interception (also, back in a similar argument around a year ago, I went back and showed that Beuerlein actually led more 4th quarter comebacks than Jake, but Beuerlein's defenses usually let the other team come back and score).

any of our current backs for anthony johnson. that's a damn sad state of affairs there. dare i even trade the lot of them for biakabatuka?

colbert for willie green. or that pepsi machine on the commercials, at the very least.

I didn't trade Jake for him, I traded the fragile Kris Jenkins.

I thought it would be better to have a tough guy than a non-tough guy.

Apparently, after two requests for clarification, the brilliance of this move was not as obvious as I thought it was.
