    I heard that to. What a bunch of garbage. He's done a hell of a job with a 60 million dollar payroll.

    the players hated him, and didn't they try to replace him last year too? It's not like he probably had no idea.

    Interestingly, they're looking at girardi...

    How so? He was an asshole to his players. A majority of them hated playing for him. How can you get your team to succeed if you are not behind them 100%? Seems to me the main reason he got fired is because he could not get much out of them. The A's were incredibly talented this year and were probably better than their record and how far they got in the playoffs indicates. They had alot more power and experience than the Tigers. Look at what Leyland did with the Tigers this year. A much younger and inexperienced team, with all that potential talent. The difference is, Leyland could get that extra effort out of his players because they like playing for him, he has a calming prescence and knows how to manage his team. Macha did not posesses this.
