Lots of flaws in your rationale. 1) This still doesn't explain the CORPORATE loopholes and subsidiaries. 2) You are only talking about income tax and not the regressive payroll and sales taxes of which the less you make, the higher percentage of your income it consumes 3) The concept of "interest convergence" states that the poor MIGHT benefit from a government intiative but the wealthy will ALWAYS benefit from it and 4) Add the latest tax cuts, mostly dividend and estate taxes, taxes that only a mere .75 percent will even really benefit from (don't count your retirement account, you can't access them early without penalties so it's a false argument). No one in this forum is going to get them. These are purely Paris Hilton tax cuts. These cuts will cost our country over 2 trillion over 10 years and do nothing for the economy but WILL and HAVE made us the world's biggest debtor nation (of which Saudi Arabia and China own most of our debt). All while this latest 40 billion cut that effects the working and middle class (you know, those 90 percent who apparently don't matter to you conservatives). 40 billion, or a month in Iraq, that will devistate regular Americans. I'm not a Christian, I'm a Jew, but with all your cruelty towards the less fortunate and total disregard for fellow Americans, I cannot believe we are even worshipping the same G-d.

 

Aside from that being a rather racist comment, it is false. All of that relief money the government green-lit went to underwrite insurance companies and no-bids contracts. The real victims, the ones who weren't allowed to cross the bridge, the ones the news makes you fear because they look different than you, the ones who had no buses because they stopped running a day before the evac notices, the ones who were called looters while their white counterparts were called "people looking for supplies" these victims still haven't received real help. Their hotel vouchers are about expire while their landlords have used their rebuilding money to move elsewhere. WWJD?

You're a racist the same way most Red-staters are, the policies you endorse and the beliefs you hold bring harm to the 'others.' A racist isn't just someone who burns a cross (which isn't exactly a foriegn occurance in your neck of the woods), it's in the inadvertant way you use language and react to cultural stimuli. You called the on-going victims of Katrina welfare recipients, at the very least you are a classist which is actually worse than being a racist.
