    Gonzaga doesn't deserve a one, but since when has the tournament not had at least one #1 west of the Mississippi?

    If Loyola Marymount had beaten Gonzaga, who would that team have been? Texas? Maybe if they win the Big 12 tournament, they get a One.

    The Ohio State/Gonzaga discussion isn't one. OSU is easily the better team with a better resume. I don't like them, but damn they're good.

    :agreed: & :agreed: Guess I should explain my opinion better:

    It wont stop them, IMHO. Texas & Memphis have a better shot at the #1 than Gonzaga. If it came down to those two teams, I dont think they'd play the geography game.

    I hope not, but don't they always? For what it's worth I happen to agree with you about Ohio State being deserving, but I have a hard time believing they won't give any Western teams a #1. If not Gonzaga then maybe Washington has a shot, although Texas may be west enough for the committee.

    Last year Washington was ranked 8th or 9th in the country and given a one seed.

    Gonzaga will not get a one. It is between Texas, OSU, and Memphis. St. Joe's ruined it for everybody.
