I don't like it when teams get passed over, but Boston College is a real problem because they are one of the worst traveling teams in the country. They sold less than 5k tickets to Charlotte last year, easily the worst in the ACC, and they just don't have a history of taking fans to bowls no matter where they go. The only way I see that this could work out fairly for both the teams and the bowls is if the ACC guarantees a certain number of tickets sold, which it will buy if the team's fans and alumni don't meet the requirement.

They also have a disadvantage in that there are no bowl games in the Northeast.

True, but you don't see other northern teams struggling that much to sell tickets.

Well, I guess so. It's probably hard to compete with the NFL and that perennial northeast powerhouse, Syracuse.

well ya know the ACC could always just drop their affiliation with the fucking blue carpet bowl since it's like punishment to go play there
