I guess we'll see this year since he has legitimate targets, huh?

he wasn't awful with only one target and no running game. We're not replacing him anytime soon, I have no idea how he'd not be a long term solution.

He's not a talented passer...his arm is weak. If we have to rely on our passing game, he ain't no Dan Marino.....not even close.

I love his heart and his leadership and enthusiasm, but if we get in a position where we gotta throw.....he's the weak link.

His arm is actually very good. His arm isn't weak at all. Don't get caught pretending he's not talented, or that he's just in there because he hustles around.

Kinda like all those comebacks in the fourth quarter in 2003.

    Jacksonville ( hair raising)
Tampa Bay game 9 (that was even more fucking hair raising)
    Washington game 10
Arizona game 15 to clinch the South COmpleted 5 of 7 in a minute to set up the game winning FG with :08 left.

    Or in 2004

    SAn Francisco game 9
Tampa Bay game 11 40 yard TD pass with game tied and :20 on the clock.

    Or in 2005

Arizona - completed 4 of 5 passes and a TD for the game winning 94 yard drive.

Jake does some bonehead shit, but more good stuff and the team really plays for him. We're gonna miss that guy the day he leaves.

We'll get Williams' prime, while we got SD's twilight for the most part. Future looks bright to me.

Jake's a gunslinger in the mold of Brett Favre. He'll bull some boneheaded shit on occasion, but it's just because his passion gets the better of him. Sure he's no Marino, but if we waited for the next amrino to come along, we'd never have a qb.

And since Marino's not the only style of QB you can have success with (quick, somebody name a "great" immobile cannon arm QB since, other than pretending Bledsoe's great), I'd say we're fine.

Jake has above average arm strength and velocity for a starter, when he steps into his throws. Period. When he doesn't, and comes with that back foot hop shit, that's when the floaters and picks come up. He has a strong enough arm to get away with throwing side arm, though he does that too much.

He doesn't have Favre or Elway's arm. Or Marino's, with Marino's quick release. But the dude tied Leftwitch and Palmer for distance throwing, and he has plenty of zip, more than anyone in our division save Vick.

He's not without issues, but he's got arm.

Watching him hold onto Jeno James' shirt is awesome. I miss Jeno.

I'm glad to have Howard back. Dude can lay the wood.:bananalam
