One of the top handicapers in football is picking Panthers +8 big. Before all you "we don't have a chance fans" start laughing, consider this, he picked Skins and over aganst 49ers.

He won't be on "top" very long. I love handicappers, they try to sell you their knowledge and it seems to me that if they knew so much then they would just bet the wagon at the Stardust . But, alas, just like the sooth-sayers and the psychics. They see things but they didn't buy Krispy Kreme for a quarter.:(

That's not what he is claiming. His record is about 60% consistantly. That's not enuff to bet the ranch on but it can return a good interest if you are disciplined and know how to work it. But alas, I only wanted to show that some big time gamblers are not sold on the idea that the Skins will run over the Panthers. I certainly would not push the "Jimmy the Greeks" of this world.

I catch your drift but 60% is not good. He would have to pay the butter on 40% which sometimes can be 10%. Even at 5 % he would have to bet in bulk and be able to weather the whole season, maybe 2 or 3 seasons.

I have a gut feeling that Carolina will kick the Skins ass. But my gut is situated too close to my heart.:)
So I am taking the over and hoping that by half time I can relax.:)

If we win it'll be a low scoring game, Putt. It'll be thanks to our defense.

Yeah, that worries me a little. The line has also been going back and forth all afternoon.
I want to see the Panthers win but I also want to win money if they don't.:)
I am a heck of a good loser.

IMO if we win it's because we ran the ball a good deal and caught them in some mistakes. I have no doubt that they'll pass a lot, and even coming from behind (unlikely) will mean they'll be set up to come back. But if we score enough and run the ball, it's not inconceivable that we take it. The D will simply have to go get us the ball.

I think it's possible that Henning will show us some running plays early tha will give us hope. Then I think it's probable that Weinke can make his passing game score. This plus I am looking for the D to collect some INTs can put some points on the board.

Maybe I'm dreaming but I just looked at an old Henning run Jet's O where they played that sort of O aganst us. Very effective. The only question is do we have a Curtiss Martin in Smith or Foster. Martin ran enuff to bring those backs up and then Testaverti (sp) wore us out.

Washington's front seven is as good as any in the NFL. They won't be easy to run against.
