I'm always looking for teams that will be better than expected. Or will have a breakout year. Or will not suck anymore after years of sucking.

This year has a long list of maybes including: Pitt, Purdue (love them, but their schedule BLOWS), Oregon State, Mizzou, etc. These teams are getting a lot of hype at least.

So please share them if ya got 'em. As I have said before, I will take winners from anyone. I don't care if it's your dog picking them.

Who do you think will be a breakout team this year?

tennessee is my pick to win the entire sec this year.

and though they are my team, i gotta mention south carolina, and bear w/me here...we vastly underachieved last year and went on a 5 game losing streak to close out the season. everyone is writing us off even though our talent on paper is superior to the talent that let us to 9-3 just a couple years ago. our sched is brutal this year though, but i expect a bowl game.

purdue and wisconsin i think will be good in the big 11.

in the acc i expect north carolina will make a turnaround last year. they aren't great, but they're better than they showed last year imo and i think durant can be a pretty darn good qb.

another thing about the acc, everyone acts like those top 4 teams are cemented there but i disagree. i think the acc is wide-ass open this year. the media has made it a 4 team race but i think it's really up for grabs. i do think fsu has the most talent and they are my pick to win it, but after that who knows?

i know k-state falls flat on their face year after year, but i really think this may be their year. solid defense as always, and a running back that may bring home the heisman. pretty good QB they got there too. coops will love this, but i'm goin with the wildcats.

I don't expect them to win the nation title or even the ACC title this year... but UNC will be better than they are billed... I expect them to make a Bowl game this year and scare the shit outta NC State but lose to them

Do you even need to say you don't expect them to win the national championship if you are going to say they are going to lose to State?

Shit I'm sure Wake and even Clemson will beat them. The game with Duke should be good though.

Gimmie Virginia as a surprise team. Their schedule is brutal but that team will be good...

Oh and I think Washington knocks off Ohio State Aug 30th and makes a BIG run this season.

Did anyone notice that Reggie Williams of Wash had 94 catches for almost 1500 yrds and 11 TDs last season.

    That ************ is the man.
