That looks pretty sweet. What's with the guy saying he can't discuss the end, isn't it common fucking knowledge? I wasn't crazy Lex's voice, but whatever. I would like to see after the death when like 5 Supermans show up. That was fucking awesome!

I would like to see them make a live action movie out of it.

Actually, I thought that is what they were getting to at first with all the story boards.

this will have that. Steel, Superboy, The Eradicator, Powerless Superman that uses guns and stuff, and the half man half robot guy. It'll have both parts. The part where he dies and the part where he comes back.

I just watched this on NetFlix direct view. Not bad, here are the 2 reviews I thought were best:

I like superheroes; I like the movies, the TV shows, most of the direct-to-DVD stuff and I especially enjoy the actual comic books. OK so I'm a dork, but I know the source material and I've seen enough to know good from bad and this is pretty good. The action is great sure, but for an animated movie there's also a surprising amount of violence, adult themes, character development and perhaps most surprising, actual moments of emotion (that's not easy to do in this format folks). But at only 74 minutes, I feel this could have benefited from a longer run time, especially considering this movie isn't entirely faithful to the outstanding 1990s comic event upon which this is based. For those unfamiliar with how the story played out in the books, this won't be much of an issue as the stuff that is here is well done. For those that did read the story, this might be a bit of a let down as there are interesting concepts in the story that are missing here. On technical merit, I enjoyed the animation. It's done in a style very similar to the JLA movies/TV show which is nice. I do have a small issue with the way Superman's face is drawn; odd facial lines that are likely supposed to portray a chiseled jaw are distracting dumb looking (IMO). I also really enjoyed the voice acting, especially by Anne Heche (Lois Lane) and James Marsters (Lex Luthor) who gave real emotions to their characters. Overall, this is one of the better direct-to-DVD superhero movies so if you're at all interested in the source material, I completely recommend Superman Doomsday.

It's not as good as I had hoped. I REALLY wanted to see Doomsday take out the Justice League and the Avengers. That aside, it was tolerable. Maybe one day, they'll make one that follows the comics more closely.

I enjoyed it. I bought this for my kids when it first came out. The kids liked it as well.
