That's precisely why New York City doesn't host Super Bowls, Dukey. The league was considering it because of 9/11/01. I don't know if there was ever a final approval.

As of right now, the policy of the league is to guarantee (as much as possible) the best viewing conditions for the spectators. That means temperate climates or domes. Snow is just not an option at this point.

no roof...remember the last one in atlanta? snow and ice everywhere...only reason detroit gets them is because they have a dome.

that and lack of hotels, motels and downtown nightlife... Carolina MIGHT be considered if they had those even WITH the weather here

The average temp.in Jan has to be about 55-65 degree's or so unless you have a Dome stadium. Charlotte will never get a Super Bowl unless we put a roof on the Stadium and I don't want to see that.

I wonder how expensive it would be to put a temporary roof over the stadium in order to attract the Super Bowl?

Probally not feasible but, it would be damn sweet to have the Super Bowl in town.

Just becuse it snow in charlotte mean that we cant host a Superbowl i mean the weather in charlotte over it not bad is not as good as south CA or FL but it not bad as Cats and NFL fan i wouid be more happy to see a NFL game in Snow then in SUN and if the NFL said ok for us to have the cat in charlotte the nfl need to consider giveing charlotte to host a Superbowl i thinks every city that has a nFL team need to have a change to host a Superbowl look at MLB there going to host a all start game in Chicago
