They start this weekend with 4 ACC teams (including UNC) and 4 SEC teams (including my UGA Bulldogs) still alive. Should be interesting, and ya gotta fear the PING. I've seen Alabama play in person and their #4 overall seed is overrated. UNC should definitely beat them with Bard, Miller, and Woodard (if necessary) pitching. Already have my tickets to go watch UGA play the Cocks this weekend. I believe the games will be on Fox Sports and ESPN so everyone should be able to see them.

UNC won @ Alabama 11-5 in Game 1 Friday evening.

    WP - Miller
    LP - LeBlanc

Heels looked good but playing the Gore kid at 2nd late in the game was a bit risky if you ask me. But they made it work and the bats were alive all game long. The Cavassini kid is really fun to watch. Bard gets the start tomorrow and UNC could go dancing if he's on.

Yeah...I was surprised with that move as well "for defensive purposes". Kyle Shelton has a major league glove and maybe the best defensive 2nd B in the country. Gore may have a better bat, but that point in the game it was not needed.

Miller is everything people have said about him, Josh Horton is a special player and the Tar Heels are loaded. What amazes me is that they have a very confident approach...and they are so young. With the exception of Jay Cox, all of the position players are sophomores and freshmen...including the substitutes

just got back from the lake and tuned in to the UGA/USC game and saw where the Gamecocks belted 5 HOME RUNS in the 2nd inning. right now its 9-1 in the top of the 5th.

they just belted another HR, a 3 run shot makes it 12-1, still in the top of the 5th :wtf23:
