It's going to be interesting to see how all the conference realignments shake down. Listening to ESPN this afternoon Notre Dame is a lot more interested now in joining the Big Ten. The Pac Ten is pushing hard for 6 teams from the Big 12 (Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, Ok St, Colorado, Tx AM) while Missouri, and Nebraska are getting ultimatums from the Big 12 as to what are their plans.

I'm guessing that the Pac10 would rather take less than the 6 that's being mentioned. For sure they want Texas and Oklahoma. Texas is going to insist that Texas A&M and Texas Tech follow them. Texas is in a great position because they are coveted by everyone. When the PAC10 or the Big 10 makes the first move it will start the dominoes falling.

I've read in a couple of places where the Texas schools won't go anywhere unless Baylor comes too. The Mountain West Conference was supposed to invite Boise State this week but held off because now they're looking at Colorado instead. Notre Dame is supposedly willing to go to the Big Ten now, but only if the Big Ten takes only Notre Dame. We'll see how it all shakes out, but college football as we know it is certainly going to change in the near future.

I've heard the Baylor thing too. Some Texas politicians are behind that from what is being reported. To me Notre Dame can take a leap, they don't have the pull they once had.

Keep in mind how wrong all the blogs/net rumors etc were about the ACC expansion a few years back. A lot of folks are putting out stuff that is just speculation or fanboy fantasy.

Kansas Iowa State and KS are probably shitting bricks that they will be the last Big 12 schools standing. What with Ticketgate at KU they are in for some dark times

Where could Kansas go? They've got one of the best basketball programs, but a shitty football program. I can't believe that nobody would take them, but there's really no place that makes sense for them.

They'll find a place, but it won't be what they want. It will impact recruiting, fan experience, etc...

Growing up a loyal Jayhawk fan, Not sure where they will land. Do you think the Big 10 would take KU, KState and ISU with Mizzou and Nebraska? What a mess and can't think of another conference close to take these three.
