Is it an automatic ticket to hell? What does the Bible say? What do you believe?

The Bible says, "Do not murder." That includes onesself.

That commandment is just one of several ideas that establish suicide as a sin. And the act of suicide is an outward expression of a serious breakdown in faith for someone who considers himself a believer.

But only God knows what's going on in the heart and mind of a person who takes his or her own life, and only He can fairly judge that person's faith and actions.

As to what I believe about suicide, honestly I think it varies from person to person, each being a unique situation. I think those people face God like the rest of us do, and we will all either be welcomed with open arms, and/or judged with ultimate fairness.

In other words, I don't believe there's a systematic method for any human being (other than the victim) to know with any certainty whether or not a victim of suicide is condemned to an eternity in hell.

As I understand it, the "unforgivable sin" is when a person has knowledge of the Gospel but freely chooses to deny it (see Hebrews 10:26).

If someone wants to off themself then so be it. The only thing that is certain is god gave us choice. Everything else is debatable.
