Looks like Fred Taylor and Reggie Brown went down with the hammy-bug, as well. Tis the season, I guess.

I will be sure to dedicate a new thread upon the Steelers' first injury.

Doesn't Smitty go down with a hammy every year in camp? I'm not worried.:twocents:

    gotta stretch well, kids.

smitty should, within all reason, get a week or two of rest and might suit up for the first game. He'll definitely be a go for Atlanta, it's just a matter of re-aggravating it.

Sucks since it takes away some repitions and getting the timing down, but worse case we rest him for a couple of weeks.

Panthers | S. Smith might have strained his hamstring
    Sat, 29 Jul 2006 15:06:28 -0700

The Associated Press reports Carolina Panthers WR Steve Smith (hamstring) might have strained his hamstring during the afternoon practice Saturday, July 29, according to general manager Marty Hurney. Hurney added, "He's done this before in training camp." Smith pulled up while running a long route down the sideline. He immediately clutched his left hamstring, took a couple of steps and fell to the ground. After trainers and new teammate WR Keyshawn Johnson came to his, Smith slowly got to his feet after about a minute and got onto the back of a cart which took him inside.

    Good News

Colbert and Carter get more snaps and more time with Jake

That could pay off big time in the long run
