I am sick of Eugene Robinson so Bline would have to be an upgrade.

Yeah, but he holds the record by a mile here.

considering collins was mostly playing ball control until the year the team broke b-line should hold the record. Jake'll take that away soon enough though.

Agree on 1 and 3 but I'm not sure what makes people think BLine would undoubtedly be a better mentor to Weinke and Jake than Peete. He may very well turn out to be, but if Peete had anything to do with Jake becoming more comfortable running the offense as the season progressed then I say keep him (and his smokin' wife) around.

Peete's arm isn't good, and I certainly wouldn't be comfortable with him on the field. But he definitely was one of our biggest cheerleaders on the sideline last year. Maybe he's a good lockeroom presence.

I guess I just still resent the fact that Peete did not earn the starting spot he received the last two years. He is not good enough to be the backup but he still #2 on the depth chart. Bline atleast had a few good years in his career. Peete never really did anything.

    BEUERLEIN WON'T GET A SHOT

We recently posted a blurb regarding the possibility that 49-year-old quarterback Steve Beuerlein could return to an NFL roster if/when somebody goes down with an injury.

In response, a league personnel exec told us that Beuerlein "has been on scholarship for the past few years," and that "no one wants him -- no one."

Beuerlein most recently played for the Broncos, backing up Jake Plummer. Beuerlein's season ended in October after suffering a grotesquely dislocated finger against the Vikings.

If we are going to have an old guy around who serves no purpose but to be a feel good story then Bline had Peete beat hands down.

Bring on Stevie boy. He took me to the promise land in my Fantasy Football league in 1999! He went nuts that year and I'll always owe him a debt of gratitude! After struggling the last three years it would be good karma. As for the Panthers,.... GO COWBOYS!!!!
