I wasn't sure what forum to put this into but here it is. I think it is obvious that they are much more prevalant in all sports than is commonly believed. Baseball said there wasn't a problem and now that they are testing people are getting popped. There is just way too much aversion to strict penalties, it's just odd as hell. I'm guessing that performance enhancing drugs are so entrenched that they are scared to death what could happen to their abillity to hold up over the season as well as maintain the same level of performance people are used to seeing.

This forum is dead, but I do agree with you for the most part.

Steroids have been a problem for a good number of years now, it just so happens they are finally starting a testing program to try to control the use.

Look at what former major league pitcher Tom House said on the subject....

"I pretty much popped everything cold turkey," House said. "We were doing steroids they wouldn't give to horses. That was the '60s, when nobody knew. The good thing is, we know now. There's a lot more research and understanding."

"We didn't get beat, we got out-milligrammed," he said. "And when you found out what they were taking, you started taking them."
