undefinedundefined The modern day ballplayer is spoiled. I hope I can at least get a concensus on that subect. They dont live in "The Real World", they are all millionaires (or soon to be) who moan and complain even when baseball tries to introduce mechanisms that could save thier bodies much suffering when they finally leave the game. Steroids are wrong, but are not banned by MLB even tho they know it gives an unfair advantage to those who use them. I don't respect any player who used steroids (or any illegal drug) but if they broke major league records, they deserve to be put in the record books but with an asterisk denoting what enhancing drug or illegal substance they used. The same holds true for Pete Rose, (I dont respect him either) who should be in the Hall of Fame, but again with an asterisk denoting his betting on his own team. Until MLB fixes all that is broken, at least let the people who read the record books or look at the Hall of Famers know that there were black marks against these players as denoted by the asterisk. :nono:

I agree ... better baseball through Chemistry just shouldn't be recognized as legitimate records. People can argue that baseball had not outlawed the use of steroids, but, even though baseball didn't have a specific rule, it was against the law.

I remember looking at pics of Lyle Alzado during the last year of his life when he was talking about how steroids destroyed his body. A picture of him in his decline ought to be posted in every HS and College locker room in every sport.
