miller, campbell, billups and coleman were all suspended the mandatory 1 game for leaving the bench area during an on-court altercation. stern stressed "on-court" because clearly, everybody left the benches during the riot.

wallace got the book thrown at him for the same reason guys get a T when they make a play that gets somebody so pissed, that they then do something that earns them a T. like if artest fouls wallace and wallace gets up in artest's face, they'd each get a T, tho artest wouldn't have gotten a T without wallace's reaction. in reality, wallace should have gotten 3 games at most, but given the result, they upped it to make sure they looked extra stern.

Artest never landed a punch in the stands. He pushed the first guy he got to and then was grabbed by other fans, who then hit him from behind, no doubt making the situation even worse.

It wasnt until he was on the court that he landed a punch, on the guy in the Pistons jersey. And what in the hell was that guy doing on the court anyway? He deserved what he got.

I do not feel sorry for that guy on the court in the pistons jersey. He should be punished too. It is not about the fans who threw drinks or fought being right and the players being wrong. It is about the players letting this happen and what it does to the league.
