    Detroit TV station reporting the following suspensions for those involved in Friday's fight...

    Artest: 30 games
    O'Neal and Jackson: 20
    Ben Wallace: 5 games

    I'm still trying to figure out how Ben Wallace only got 5. He should of got 10.

    isnt 3 games the norm for fighting in a game.. remember Wallace didnt go into the stands...

    30 games wasnt enough...
    the fans involved should be prosecuted as well as Artest, Oneal,and Jackson
    except that guy Artest pummeled in the bleachers that started it..

    There has been no announcement as to how long anyone well be suspended. I dont think the players who went into the stands should be suspended at all. The only one who should be suspended is wallace for starting the fight.

    Nope I am dead serious. So it's ok for fans to attack players but players can't attack fans? They are just normal people who happen to have alot of money.

    Players should not be suspended for jumping into the stands and swinging at random people? Running into the stands is not defense when you get hit by a plastic cup of beer. That is the job of the arena staff and police, who obviously weren't very effective.

    Agree on the security, but a professional athlete being paid a ton of money should be able to maintain his composure. It's not like he was in Oakland and was hit by a battery. The stands are off-limits. There is no grey area on when it's acceptable for a professional athlete to assault a fan. The venue's security and local police should be responsible for prosecuting fans who cross the line, athletes shouldn't take it into their own hands, especially sucker punching people for throwing a fucking plastic cup with 12 ounces of liquid in it at best. They got what they deserved, and I hope the fans involved are identified and prosecuted too.

    reggie miller was suspended for 1 game and he was in a suit with a cast on is hand,what did he do besides keep artest from going back in the stands? :huh:
