I decent QB (King, Delhomme), Stephen Davis, and a top round rookie WR could do alot for this offense.

    Davis done with skins.

Don't know that i want a guy who let Michael Westbrook beat him up.

  3. IMO, Davis is not an 'up and coming' but he is on his decline. Those powerbacks lifespan is limited and when they start to go downhill, they do so in a hurry. You arer right though, in his prime he is the perfect back for Henning's offense.

so Davis is indeed done. Advancing or declining, we're not in the position to be able to draft a differencemaker at RB, WR, and QB all at once. Davis will be the best back out there. He's worth two years and by then we can afford to cut him.

Supposedly Antowain Smith is being considered as a cut as well? Not sure why.

And some goober at charlotte.com says he talked to Ron Dayne and asked whether or not he should come here in trade.

    I'd give no greater than a 4th.

    It's an extra 4th.

I'd grab Davis if cheap, but in our offense, I'd almost rather have Neal. For our offense, Neal seems key.

Let's just say the stock on Foster right now is bearish.

I'd give a 4th for Ron Dayne. He's just not getting the ball. I don't know what's up with that, but he should go where he can be a feature back, or atleast get more carries.

I'd rather grab the FA QB, draft Johnson in the first and go for the best WR in the second (Kassim Osgood or Bobby Wade might be available).
This years QB class has some pretty good prospects, but next year will have quite a few as well if some guys stay.

A top flight RB in the prime of his career? He is tailor made for us. He tops my wish list. We need Davis badly. Then we can focus on getting Foster healthy and picking up WRs and a QB in the draft. He would be a huge sign for us. Forget that he is on the decline - he is as good a back as we could hope for right now.
