Scroll down to the Redskins and it says he's gone. This guy would be the perfect fit to our offense. If we could add him, with the touches he would get, we could possibly get away with starting a rookie Qb next year. This could be the biggest pickup of the Panthers history if it doesn't cost them an arm and a leg.

Screw him. He went to Auburn. Just kidding:D I'd love to have him here. Sign him, draft a wr/qb and move on.

If you have a back this reliable and a WR (draft or FA), starting a rookie Qb wouldn't be that bad, unless we had Tuten and Fletcher at the tackle positions.

He's from Spartanburg i believe. I bet he would like to play close to home on a team that will give him the ball 20 times a game.

I would love to sign him if the price is right.

What other teams would give him the touches we could offer?

New England- if A. Smith is released
    Pittsburg-if the Bus is gone
Philly-has alot of room under the cap and no definate #1 rb

any other likely options you guys can think of?

Good call. Maybe that will help in our begging.

i think philly is happy with deuce and buckhalter. possible place, in my opinion, could be the cowboys. even though hambrick is being pushed, that would signal the end of emmitt smith, and may force him to retire. i really think we have a good shot at davis. no other team is really at need at rb as we are, and have the cap to shell out the $$.

There are a lot of teams in need of a RB right now. (Houston, Arizona, Chicago?, Cowboys, 49ers?,) I think Philly is glad that they stuck w/ Deuce instead of picking up Dunn, so I don't see them going after Davis. It'll be interesting to see if they release him or trade him. This will make the decision for a lot of these teams.

I don't think AZ will be going after a RB either... Houston's really the BIGGEST concern of teams going after Davis

But Arizona was definantly not happy w/ Thomas Jones after he allegedly broke his hand answering the phone. They don't really have anyone else in the backfield worth mentioning. I would imagine Davis would like to go to a playoff caliber team, and right now IMO, we are much closer than Houston despite similar records.

Didn't Marcel Shipp play really good for them too before he got hurt this year? Or some other RB... I can't remember for sure who it was.
