their front nine are signed for 5-6 years with the new contract for DE Aaron Smith.

Their three experienced playmakers are all signed long, probably to the end of their careers. Bell is still new. And other than the corners, I don't remember much injury history or that much age. A little work at safety next year and they've got a defense that'll last a good while now, without much need for depth or youth. That's just sick.

And they will score the fewest points in the league with Cordell at QB...as long as they give up the fewest, I guess 9-7 would be do-able?

I think they are going to do better than 9 – 7. I do agree that they could use one of those 6 or 7 high profile QB’s coming out next year. Say they pick around mid twenties . . . who is their first draft pick next year? Since Mike Doss (Ohio St) probably won’t fall as far as they’ll be picking do they go with another safety like Anthony Floyd (Louisville) or do they go for a QB? Will there still be a good QB for them once they pick again at 57ish?
    Any guesses out there?

at safety, second round, the names that seem to be mentioned most are Troy Polamalu of USC (5'10, 220) and Ken Hamlin of Arkansas (6'1, 200).

They probably wouldn't go D first round anyway.

QB, late first? Maybe Jason Thomas if he gets better as expected.
Carson Palmer, Casey Clausen, Ken Dorsey might be second round shots.

First round, to be honest, they might be taking a tackle. I'm sure some will have them taking a TE like Trent Smith.

Intriguing. What do you look like Magnus? I’m starting to picture you as being a tall stone-faced guy with gaunt features and large pointy ears. You’re always wearing that same blue tunic all the damn time.
    Close?

it's black, vinyl or something else uncomfortable. Just standard band club wear. Didn't feel like wearing a t-shirt that night.
We'll cut the obsession short there, unless you have something to say of any importance.
