    Well you can take some Motrin. It will reduce the fever and the anti inflammatory in it will relieve your sore throat symptoms. Advil will do the same. They sometimes actually give prescription pain meds for strep because it is painful dang it. Take something, dont sit and suffer needlessly.
    Motrin is my call, 800 mg. In an hour, you will thank me.

    warm salt water gargles for the throat too.

    yeah, my mom is all about the warm saltwater gargling.

    and i took 4 200mg ibuprofin.

    Salt water is saline- your normal body fluid. It helps ease the inflammation of a sore throat.

    I literally gag with salt water. I can't even eat cucumbers that have been soaked in salt water. The smell literally makes me gag!! Hence the reason I don't gargle when I have a sore throat.

    well, i'm at work today. everyone at my 8:45 stand-up is telling me i should go home. apparently, i don't look so hot.

    Wow, Im thinking you should be on the mend by now. You drinking plenty? Did the motrin help?

    i didn't start antibiotics until friday afternoon.

    i feel better, but not 100%.
