strep throat and a sinus infection. ive never had either one.

yuck.

i've got amoxicillin -- 3 a day for 10 days.

Amoxicillin isn't that strong of an antibiotic these days. I at least hope he gave you the 500's and not the 250's.

And make sure you take it for the full 10 days. If not, it could sneak back up on you and stike a 2nd time.

10 days is not magical, sometimes they order antibiotics for 14.

many folks just take the antibiotics till they feel better then stop. The trouble with that is that the bacteria that is making them sick is not dead- just weakened down. If you are sick enough to go to the Dr and get antibiotics, you want the bacteria dead, not just weak because it has the potential to rebuild after you stop the antibiotics and come back and haunt you.

Are you taking motrin or something for the sore throat and fever?

 

i had a 101 fever when i went in this morning. no, im not taking anything. i did that first day -- 2 tylenol -- then again the second night -- 2 advil.

i was going to ask. what the hell can i do abnout this sore throat. it's a killer i can't sleep.
