Yes we do. I don't know what to think. We've got one senior, the bulk our team are sophomores, we have no big men. Is it Herb or is it inexperience? I'd like to think the players are pretty good.

Math, Melvin did nothing last night - Powell is coming on strong. Neither are that small. But agreed on not having a big man. Neither does Duke.

I like Hodge, and you're missing Evtimov.

Agreed with giving Herb the rest of the season - but how about for next year?

State won the title in 1974 & 1983 - and last season was competitive in the NCAA tournament. They lost leadership in Grundy & Miller, and Evtimov was an integral component too.

Good coaches can sometimes overcome injuries, right?

That's the dilemma. His contract just got renewed, and I'd like to think the sophomores would be good by next year, if not their senior years, but is it worth the wait? I think so, but the powers-that-be may not.

No, we're not rated, although we were briefly in the top 25 at the beginning of the season. Coaches/AP wont make THAT mistake again.

If I heard correctly on PRIMETIME a couple of days ago, didn't they guy (__________, who works at the Gastonia Gazette) say that Herb has never signed a point guard since he's been at State . . . How is that possible   ? ? ? If your in a tight squeeze, getting someone from the junior college ranks would be a good idea . .

Richard Walker, State grad. It's not for lack of trying. State's been in the final 3 for 2 or 3 pretty good PG's.
