One year. But he was the first DC under Amato after Green left. What's ironic is that Arkansas did to Chuck what he tried to do to Miami before he hired Herring.

    ballsy.

Well, it's not even a longshot or necessarily the right choice, but looking at the ACC staffs, I find a common link with former UNC head coach and current SS/OLB/Recruiting Coordinator Jim Cavanaugh. He was receivers coach at NCSU in the late seventies, around the time Chest made defensive coordinator.

Didn't realize that Chest's son in law is Jared Moon. What a fag.

Nobody I like on the staff to promote. For whatever reason, Herring coaches all the linebackers, Stroud's experience is almost entirely in S&C, Diaz is better but young and also ST coach; y'all are screwed unless you lay out some money.

Apparently we didn't lay out enough to keep Herring. Unless he was looking for an excuse to leave, which doesn't seem like him.

Somebody on the State board said we should make Mazzone the DC, since he's so good at stopping offenses.:D

Herring is apparently a long-time friend of Houston Nutt.

And in other news, CJ Hunter 'resigned'. I'll bet they cut him loose because of all the steriod shit starting to hit the fan.

This is absolutely horrible. Reggie was the best thing we had, coaching wise.

Amato can't keep a good coach longer than 1 fucking year. Fucking guinny bastard.

All the offensive coaches left for jobs up the career ladder, though. All the defensive coaches haven't.
