I don't get it, the original wasn't a comedy. Has it got to bad that every movie is going to be based upon but not anything like a 70's tv show?

I think it's more of a "spoof" on the original series.

I guess that makes 2 of us. Everyone reviewing it says they're gay.

That is a really good pic by the way. Better than coffee.

I've heard a lot of good things about this movie, I definitely want to see it.

One thing though, I saw an interview on MTV with Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson and they don't get along off set. I thought it was funny seeing them argue for as many movies as they have been in together.. they said that it probably won't happen again.

almost all 70's TV shows were pretty lame.

I think thats what the movie remakes are playing up - spoofing how lame they were which turns them into a comedy.

Now I could see making NYPD Blue into a "tougher" screen version with more graphic violence and no language restrictions and that being a good movie.

But geeze - can you imagine how horrible the movie would be if it was "true" to the original of Starsky & Hutch, Barnaby Jones, Cannon, Rockford Files, etc. ?

free mindless TV is one thing - but paying $25 to take a date to see mindless movies ain't gonna cut it

I watched it on pay per view once and really did not get into it. Watched it again last night on HBO HD and I found myself enjoying it. The original was not a comedy, but like all the other corny shows of the 70's it was comic in it's desire to be a drama. The spoof aspect of the movie is very fair to the original and I think it probably did better than if they tried to be serious.

Just watch it again... Do it...Do it...Do it....

Ben Stiller is the most overated comic actor out there today. His last good movie was Something About Mary.

I don't know how he gets so much press.
