Vader thinks his kids are dead so he has no reason to try and search for them and I doubt he would want to go back to Tatoonie since that's where his mother died and he wouldn't exactly have happy memories from that place.

As far as C3PO, there are other droids that looked like him (see Empire) and so he might have thought it was a different droid. Plus he went through a pretty tramatic experience at the end of Sith so he probably doesn't care a whole lot about a droid he built as a kid. That's my 2 cents worth.

I thought the discrepancies were because it was made up as it went along?

First movie was a success...let's make another...an another

    then more

I thought the books came after the movies..another way of making money...like the toys were?

The reason Qui-Gon wasn't mentioned in 'Empire' is because he didn't exist as a character until Lucas decided to do a prequel movie all those years after 'Jedi'.

After seeing what went on in the orginal Star Wars with the budgets and time restrictions I am sure he left a lot out. They all thought that first movie was going to flop anyway so who would have cared.

Well duh, but my point is that it left a major plotline hole.

Though I will admit that I rewatched the original trilogy on Saturday, and it makes the movies better.

He actually wrote the first three (or the backstory) before he wrote the Original four, five, and six. Don't know why there are some holes in the plotlines, but Revenge of the Sith was awesome, and on par with the original three. Definitely the best out of the past three. The last two fights with Yoda and the Emperor, and Obi-Wan and Vader were incredible. Also filled in nicely right where four picks up on. Question is, how does Vader know that Leia is his daughter? or can he just sense it?

I had always heard that there were 3 trilogies (1-3, 4-6, 7-9), but now there saying that this is the last movie so which is it? If there is a next trilogy what is it going to be about?

Rebuilding the Republic and the Jedi Order. Luke becomes the new Yoda, and the children of Han Solo and Leia are the first new padawans.

He senses it from Luke during their fight in 'Empire'.
