Star Wars Question

Discussion in 'TV & Movie Discussion' started by Tiorted Snoil, Oct 30, 2002.

  1. I beleive it was in Empire....Obewon's spirit and Yoda were discussing Luke and Ben stated that "he is our last hope" (of becoming Jedi). Yoda said that "no, there is another." Who was Yoda referring to?

At first I thought it was Leia because she's Luke's sister but in all of the movies so far I've yet to see a female Jedi, or soldier.

I'm bored right now and that's something I've wondered about off and on.

    LOL!!!!

I've always wondered why the Michael Meyers character from the "Halloween" movies wanted to kill his sister (Jamie Lee Curtis). lol.

She goes on to study the Jedi ways at the insistance of Luke, but her duties as Chief of State of the Republic keep her from developing her skills. Since she resigned, she's been getting back into it more.

  7. It's just Lucus making it look like he's got some big grand scheme he's working on. Innuendo here, name dropping there and all the rabid fans invent a vast history based on speculation and lonely friday nights. At least the vagueries of the first three hinted at mystery. The last two were sledge hammers of subtlety -- but hey, what do you expect when you make films for 10 year olds?

There were female Jedi's in Episode II, but by Return of the Jedi there was only 1 Jedi left (Luke). Vader hunted down and killed off all the Jedi except Yoda and Obi Wan. But in the books, there was a female with Jedi powers (Mara Jade) around the time of the original trilogy. Luke eventually married Mara Jade. Fuck! I know waaaay too much. I'm scaring myself.
