    Is the Emperor the same person as Palpatine? If so, when did he become a bad guy? Wasn't he on the good team in Attack of the Clones?

    Dude... I'm barely into the whole star wars thing. I watched Attack of the Clones a while back and he looked similar to the Emperor on Return of the Jedi. I've never seen episode 1.

    So you never noticed that the same Ian McDiarmid, who played Emperor Palpatine way back in 1983, was in these new movies playing someone of the same name? :thinking:

    yeah, i'm sure lucas will just re-edit the episodes 4-6 to make whatever he comes up with in number 3 look like he meant it all the time.

    also, i'm certain that the few remaining vague, passing references to things from the other movies will all be shown in excruciating detail. i figure he makes episide 4 look like it comes mere minutes after episode 3 with all the crap he hammers into this one.
