    I do not remember him being in the last installment. He is reminiscent of the droid army types in the first installment.

    I just did a google on him. Apparently he is a half man half machine type. He is supposed to be very powerful and able to defeat the jedi in one on one combat. He carries the lightsabers of defeated jedi on his belt as a trophy. There is supposed to be a big showdown between him and the two most famous remaining jedi, Anakin and Obi Wan.

    I wonder if he is some reconstructed Darth Maul?

    I am thinking Anakin kills general greivious and maybe Dooku after they kill his woman. Embracing the strength of the darkside to do it he becomes Vader.

    Besides Anakin turning bad, the only other thing I see them having to tie in with 'A New Hope' is how it got to a point where Yoda and Obi Wan are so afraid of the Emporer they have to hide in seclusion
