and there's a hurricane moving thru NC today. Coincidence? NOT. (ok, just a tropical storm but the signs are in the skies!)

I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I don't want a 7 game series. At least a lot of our guys have been there before and know how hard tonites game will be. Edmonton has nothing to lose. At least we have Ward in goal.

Someone educate me. I have read where the Stanley cup travels around with the players (they get a day or so each?) and to neighboring towns where folks can get their pictures taken with it?

yep. One guy from Toronto travels with the cup at all times. He spends about 200 days a year with it. The players can do pretty much anything they want to the Cup, as long as there is no chance of damage. The guy stays with the Cup at all times, no matter what. There was a show about this dude's job. They asked him what the wildest thing he's seen with the Cup. "No comment" :D Rumors of players screwing women on the Cup, they've also fed their dogs from it, drank beer from it, taken it to strip clubs, etc. I'd love to have that guys job....and see his pictures (you know they're out there somewhere)
