Spiderman

What did everyone think? I was a little disappointed. Kirsten Dunst, whom I usually really like, was flat, and the whole, "I was thinking of you" scene in the graveyard was just flat out bad. The special effects were good, but like so many other movies now, the cgi was WAY over done. The whole point of special effects is to make things look real, and in this one, it just never looked real. There was even one part that was the worst blue-screen job since King Kong.
The other thing that disappointed me was the fact that the story is left way too open. I knew that work had already started on a sequil before Spidey came out, but I didn't expect to only get half the story in this one. I walked out of the theatre with the same feeling I get with end-of-season cliff hangers on TV. They try to get you waiting with baited breath for the next episode, but they just make me stop caring, and feeling like I got ripped off by paying for the whole movie.
Tobey Magwire did surprise me though. Much like all the guys they got to play Batman, I gave him no chance, but he really did a good job in the role.

really enjoyed the comic-book style effects! oh, and the fights. great fights! also liked the song in the end. is it called hero? sounded like metallica but i know it aint them. lemme go find out right now...

 

This movie was great! It's a fucking comic stip for christ sakes...

 

I thought it was good. I was big into comics up to about my sophomore year in college. Big Spidey fan. The only thing I didn't like was the Green Goblin's mask and suit. I thought they should have made him look like a Goblin.

I rate Spiderman up there with the first Batman. Gotta give it to X-Men as best comic book adaptation.

Did you catch the short trailer for the Hulk? Also hear that Ben Afflick is playing Daredevil.

Is it? I always thought he said invention. Don't have the lyrics written anywhere.

 

I liked the fact they change the web shooter as just a freaky natural thing instead of an invention.

I gave it a 3 star only cause he did not do her when he could have... He should have done her first, then told her they could just be friends...

 

I liked it but was abit dissapointed with the bad background when he was running (could so tell it was blue/green screen). I also didnt think too much of his looking rubbery in the cgi bits... and Kirsten Dunst (sp?) was NOT MaryJane! She didn't seem the part at all to me. Other than that it was ok

 

Do not speak badly of kirsten.
