I bet it'd be a lot better if you subed onion powder for onion, and added oregano. It can't be spaghetti without oregano.

    Ingredients:
4 Roma tomatoes blanched, peeled, and chopped
    1 clove garlic
    1 tablespoon diced onion
3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
    3 tablespoons basil
    Salt to taste

    Method:

In a saucepan sauté onion & garlic for 2 minutes over medium heat or until they just start to turn golden brown.

Add tomatoes and basil and cook for another two minutes.

Cook spaghetti or other favorite past to "al-dente", drain, and toss with sauce.

Grate fresh parmesan cheese over the top and serve.

pomodoro is a specific sauce. It's not just random red sauce. Chip's recipe is right, with basil but not rosemary. You can make sauces to taste, any way you want, but a pomodoro's a pomodoro.

I've only had it at Olive Garden and remember it being very spicy.
