    And get it right, I didn't say the South had no culture. I said it was of poor quality.

    Southerners have thin skin. Must be the warm weather.

    And while we're at it, there is practically ZERO pub culture in the South. There are practically no real bars here. There's a zillion titty bars (outnumbered only by churches, ironically) and Appleby's type franchises, but no quaint, family owned bars that you can cal your own. Up north, there are bars that often have a food specialty of some kind where you can take your family and still have a couple of drinks. Southern culture is so repressed and puritanical that you can sneak out the back door of the church and sneak into the titty bar for a lap dance, but you can't actually admit to enjoying a drink in a warm, inviting environment with friends.
