Southern/Retarded

A lot of Southerners talk about homemade macaroni and cheese like it's some great food. I even hear it referred to in commercials. It's fucking macaroni and cheese. It's cheap and easy to make. There's nothing special about it. It's a good way for people without a lot of money to fill their bellies, not a "Southern delicacy". Same with greens.

 

Southerners take pride in their foods, regardless of how difficult/easy it is to make. A lot of good foods don't require any amount of skill to make, yet there are many different variations to each dish, which is what makes them unique.

Macaroni and cheese may just be macaroni covered with cheese and baked, but different people find different ways to make it their own, and they can vary in taste greatly from one dish to the next.

 

You don't have to bake mac and cheese.

 

Yeah, Corn Flakes tastes different with skim milk than it does whole milk, too. It's fucking macaroni and cheese. I wish Southerners would take pride in something that wasn't a product of ignorance or poverty. I mean, it's good to know and be comfortable with your history, good and bad, but acting like crappy stuff is great is stupid.
