    He actually had a spotter but it probably happened so fast there was nothing the spotter could do to stop it from happening. Very very sad situation and I hope he can make a recovery to live a normal life.

    Reports said he had a spotter standing over him. First time they have seen it hit the throat, many times would drop on chest. Lifted a lot of weights in my time and not sure how your spotter doesn't see weight slipping. I hope they pay more attention in the future as this could of been avoided...
