    What characteristics distinguishes them from regular Baptist people that live in the South?

    Not as much as I originally thought. I don't know that Southern Baptists are any more conservative than Baptists in the South. I used to think so until I read an article on the preacher over at Northside, and he's just as conservative as the Southern Baptists. I think the hymnals are different.

    Not to split hairs here, but the differences would be in the denominations, not religions.

    I understand that. The doctrines are different but what are the differences?

    Well honestly I could not tell you...we joined a Southern Baptist church a year or so ago; we were led there by the Holy Spirit to teach and be there for the pastor and his family; they have moved on but until we are released by the Spirit again to move on, we will stay.
    Again I could not tell you the differences between Southern Baptist or Freewill Baptist or any of the others, sorry.

    Freewill and Missionary Baptists tend to get righteous more often than Southern Baptists.

    Southern Baptists utilize a full dunk procedure in what's known as a baptismal pool.

    That's exactly how we do it as a missionary baptist church.
    Do you partake of the Lord's supper in the form of bread and wine?
