If only you were so fair and balanced about offensive critisism, instead of going right to Henning.

I put it directly on him for 3rd down draws - he calls plays. If you want to find me something that points directly at Jim Skipper for giving an injured back 30+ carries, then I'll blame him.
Otherwise, don't whine because you didn't have an argument against what was put forth, or at least whine at Reznor.

We only call draw plays on 3rd and impossible (like the one in the SB that set up a FG), the way that you present it makes it sound as if it happens almost every time.

It happens about 90% of the time after any penalty once we get to 3rd down. I wouldn't call 3rd and 10 or so an impossible situation, and we certainly call it much more than that. We got better late in the year, yes. I'll give you that.

Draws are the opening play on our 2 minute drill too, probably about 95% of the time. I'm always surprised if we pass on first down inside of 2 minutes. It's not so much the draws that piss me off, it's the predictibility. It hasn't worked since the first half of the Super Bowl.

The Panthers were 10th in the NFL in 3rd down %. While there always is room to get better, I'd say the coaching staff did a good job managing 3rd down.

Yes, statistically, they did much better late in the season. And that's when we started winning, when we stopped pussing out on 3rd down.

Of course, it meant stopping the predictability of plowing (insert over-worked back's name) into the line and started the predictability of throwing to Moose every 3rd down, but hey, at least it worked.
But to suggest it didn't exist, except in very special situations, that's just denial.
