ESPN is reporting it. Soriano for Brad Wilkerson another player and a pitching prospect. Holy Shit! I doubt he stays there past next July. Someone will make them a prospect loaded offer. Soriano is due Arbitration after this year and I am sure he was going to hit one of the richest 2nd baseman deals ever. Hence the Strangers wanted no part of it

He told the Nats that he will not play the outfield and they already have 2 2nd basemen on roster (Spivey and Vidro) I bet he is moving on

They ought to just let him play short. He came up as a shortstop, and as bad as he may be if he moved back there, it would still be a major overall upgrade.

It amazes me that a team would trade for a guy assuming he can or will play another position. Moving from the infield to the outfield can be a tough transition. Reading a ball off of the bat from 350 feet away can be much tougher than doing the same from 100 feet away. A team would never trade for a center fielder planning to move him to second base, so why try to move a second baseman to center?
